Jack and the Beanstalk is an English fairy tale, which originally appeared with the title of ‘The Story of Jack Spriggins and the Enchanted Bean’ in 1734. It would later become known as ‘The History of Jack and the Bean-Stalk’ in 1807 before being re-wrote by Joseph Jacobs in 1890 to most closely resemble the tale as it is known today.
