The Visual Appeal
As soon as you load this game up, you’ll be presented with a very visually appealing table layout. Of course, it offers up the regular green felt table, and in the top right hand corner is where your cards will be dealt from. Moving to the centre at the top, you’ll see a set of chips, while the minimum and maximum wagers can be seen to the left of this. Underneath this are three circles with the words ‘Call (Flop)’, ‘Bet (Turn)’ and ‘Bet (River)’ stated inside them. A smaller circle is displayed lower down with the word ‘Ante’ written in it. Players will be at an advantage if they’re aware of the types of hands that can be formed when playing poker, although the game does also highlight what type of hand you have as you play.
Customising the game as far as your wagers are concerned is able to be done from the very bottom of the screen as there are various different chips on offer in the bottom right. These exist in the form of €1, €5 and €10, and there’s another chip which features a red ‘x’ on it, and this will cancel off any bets already placed. Your bets are placed by clicking the chips onto the circle marked ‘Ante’, and here you’re able to place a minimum bet of €1 and a maximum bet of €40 per hand dealt. The only other customisation features that can be altered are the ability to turn sounds on and off and the altering of the game’s graphics.
